CSUB Children’s Art Institute Dr. Thomas A. Hatfield, Executive Director of the National Art Education Association endorsed the CSUB Children’s Art Institute in a letter to the CAI Director, Dianne Turner, April 27, 2006. Dr. Hatfield stated: "I was most delighted to hear of your project about the Children’s Art Institute. I wish we had more projects like this throughout the country since so many schools in the nation don’t offer arts education experience in the elementary level. Many of these young children cannot get into art study until junior and senior high school levels. Please convey my commendations to your Board of Directors and to the staff of the Institute."
