The staff, students and parents at Ronald Reagan Elementary School are thrilled to have had an art
partnership with the CSUB pre-service teacher education students and the CSUB Children’s Art
Institute. Over the past eight years our students have benefited from exciting art lessons based
upon the work of renowned artists. They are developing an understanding of these famous artists
and their mediums. The CSUB students include the use of technology in the classroom for their
presentations. Our parents are delighted with their students’ art experience and enjoy the
culminating art exhibits at the end of each session. This program is such a success because of our
coordinating teacher, Ellen Ansolabehere, the financial support of our Parent Club and the
leadership of Dr. Dianne Turner, the Art Institute and CSUB.
