Children ages 6-12 spend a day in May with CSUB’s future educators, creating projects based on the works of the Masters. Following the workshops children and family enjoy a family barbecue. The children’s art is exhibited after the workshops for everyone to enjoy. Art Day for Children was first initiated in 1999 and is taught by pre-service student teachers wanting to learn about how to teach art. The tradition continues today with students offering workshops to children in art. |
