We are a visual arts organization for children in grades 1-6 in the Kern County region affiliated with California State University Bakersfield. We offer children's art classes on the university campus to provide children the opportunity to experience a university campus environment and all it has to offer. In addition we also offer children's art classes at our partnership school, Ronald Reagan Elementary which provides a practicum experience for our teacher candidates enrolled in our art education courses.
We believe that visual arts education enriches the lives of children no matter what their abilities. The Children's Art Institute incorporates community outreach through our children's art exhibitions, campus classes and workshops, and partnerships to follow the CSUB mission of excellence, community and partnerships.
