Jane completed a Bachelor's Degree in Employment Relations and a Master's Degree in
University Administration from Michigan State University. She has worked within higher
education for 20 years in the areas of international education, admissions, career development
and corporate outreach. Jane advises students and facilitates office planning and development.
Jane is the CECE liaison to the School of Arts and Humanities and the School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering.
Tanya earned a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State University. Her research
includes a focus on understanding adolescents' risky behaviors with an eye toward preventing those behaviors.
In addition to research and teaching in the area of human development, Dr. Boone has served as the
Coordinator of Applied Experiences in the Department of Psychology, where she oversees the service learning
requirement for the major. Tanya Boone is the Faculty Coordinator dedicated to working with faculty
across schools to promote service learning, academic internships and volunteer experiences.
Kim Williamson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from CSUB.
She has worked on campus for over 23 years, the last thirteen in the Center for Community
Engagement & Career Education. Kim is the CECE liason to the School of Business and Public Administration; she advises students, serves as the lead for facilitating career events, and assists with all aspects of
planning and development within the office.
Diane completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Southern California. She serves as CECE's primary career counselor and works directly with students on all facets of career planning. Diane worked for many years as a customer service manager for QANTAS Airlines, and within recruitment and administration within the CSUB Social Work program. Diane serves as the CECE liaison to the School of Social Sciences and Education.
Kathy has been with the Career Center at CSUB for many years. She provides administrative support to
the Career Center staff and enjoys interacting with students and employers and directing them to the
appropriate staff member for assistance with all their job search and employment needs. Kathy administers
the budget for the department and serves as the primary recruitment coordinator responsible for facilitating
on-campus interviews, information sessions and activities related to company visits.
Katrina Gilmore earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from CSUB and is well versed in all aspects
of career development support as she is the first point of contact for students as they enter the office.
Katrina manages job postings on RunnerLink and she works with the entire staff as the lead for
event planning coordination. Katrina is also the resident expert on RunnerLink.

The CECE has an active group of CSUB students who serve as Career Peers for the office. Career Peers advice students and participate in individual professional projects. Estrella Sistual serves as the Career Peer coordinator.
