Teaching Positions

The Career Development Center, CDC, can help with all related job search needs for students searching for teaching positions! The job search for teachers is slightly different than other majors. Applying to teaching positions usually includes the development of a self-managed placement file. This file is a valuable tool for the job seeker. The file includes job related reference letters, resumes, and other information.

Employment Preparation Workshop

During your second phase of student teaching you should plan to attend a Teacher Employment Preparation Workshop. The workshop is offered several times during the year and is designed to familiarize you with the job application process and to provide information on how to self- manage your placement file paperwork. The CDC uses a career management system called RunnerLink to post jobs and announce events. You will find the dates & times for the next Employment Preparation Workshop as well as other helpful career related information on RunnerLink.
