Hello, my name is Sonia Quevedo, and I have been with the CAMP Program since the year 2000. Throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to enhance my knowledge in the educational field. Most of all, I have been inspired by the students because of their dedication to make a difference in their lives. Their inspiration has given me the aspiration to seek higher education within myself.

“It’s been a journey and within that journey I’ve gained many friendships”

Alicia Velasquez, Academic Advisor

Hello everyone! Welcome to CSUB. Hope you’re all doing great. A little about myself, I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. After high school, I was a little afraid to go away to college, but got the courage and took off. I attended Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN) and found it to be one of the best experiences in my life. I recently graduated with a B.S. in Family Consumer Sciences- Family Studies option. I am now very happy to be here and be a part of the “CAMP Family,” and hope to make a difference in many students’ lives. I also would love to pursue my education obtaining my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and helping others.
