MBA Program Accreditation
The M.B.A. program at CSUB is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International). Fewer than 5% of the more than 11,000 business schools in the world have earned AACSB accreditation. And, CSUB is the only M.B.A. program in Kern County to have earned such accreditation. When selecting an M.B.A. program, be sure to verify that the program is indeed AACSB accredited; affiliation is not the same as accreditation.
What does AACSB accreditation mean for the M.B.A. student?
It means that the CSUB M.B.A. degree is recognized as a rigorous, high-quality educational achievement. AACSB accreditation is a process of self assessment and peer review of our MBA program with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Every five years CSUB's MBA program must undergo a reaccreditation process.
What does AACSB accreditation mean to potential employers?
AACSB accreditation signifies to employers that CSUB M.B.A. graduates (1) have met the highest possible standard for business education; and (2) possess the business knowledge and skills necessary to maintain organizational competitiveness.
"Some companies have even studied the differences between employees who have attended AACSB-accredited business schools and those who have not. For instance, one company found that employees who were educated by non-AACSB-accredited business schools had lower levels of performance1."
