The Aera Energy Concentration in
Occupational Safety & Health Management
Students completing this concentration will complete coursework in occupational safety
and health management, hazardous materials management, and industrial hygiene. The
biology and chemistry courses provide a scientific foundation for understanding injury
and health effects. Other coursework provides skills in areas such as negotiation and
emergency planning and management. An internship is highly recommended. Employers
have been generous in providing these opportunities.
