Behavioral Assessment and Response Team

The CSUB Behavioral Assessment and Response Team (BART) was assembled to provide a central agency for the campus community to report dangerous, distressing, inappropriate, erratic, aggressive, or uncivil behaviors on campus.

The goal of BART is early detection of conflict and concerns before they escalate into more serious problems. Of primary concern are those behaviors that put the health and safety of the campus community at risk. As a general rule, any behavior by anyone on campus that causes concern and is not already being appropriately addressed can be referred to BART for assessment and appropriate response.

BART is intended to be a non-punitive way to get help for those who need it on campus, so simply being referred to BART will not suggest wrongdoing or impede someone's academic success. If the report involves violations of the student code of conduct or of legal statutes, the case may be referred to the appropriate authority.

Reporting to BART does not replace established policies and procedures for reporting student code of conduct violations or unlawfully behavior.
