The first step after being admitted to CSUB AV is to attend an Orientation. All students must attend an Orientation in order to register for their first quarter classes. At Orientation students will receive information about the student services on our local campus, register for classes, and have the opportunity to meet a faculty member from their major or an academic advisor to discuss briefly the classes required for their program of study. The University Advising Center (UAC) and the resident faculty members of CSUB AV can help students choose classes for subsequent quarters by appointment. At this time, due to budget and time constraints, the University Advising Center (UAC) cannot take walk-in or same-day appointments.
Students are urged to be CSU General Education certified prior to applying and attending CSUB AV. All prerequisites and general education requirements must be taken at a community college. Students can make an appointment with a peer advisor in the UAC in order to confirm General Education completion as well as make sure all the prerequisites for their major have been met. Students should visit the UAC to stay on track of their personal graduation requirements. Call today to make an appointment at (661) 952-5010. If you have any questions regarding the programs offered at CSUB AV feel free to e-mail us at csubav@csub.edu.
The CSUB Antelope Valley Campus has the University catalog available for purchase at the front desk. The schedule of classes is usually available two weeks preceding registration and can be found online by logging into your MYCSUB account. If you are having difficulty locating the classes at the CSUB AV Campus, you can stop by the UAC for a step-by-step instructional sheet that will walk you through the process.
