Learning Goals and Objectives
 
Goal I: To reinforce the basic skills and values of the B.S. in Business Administration program.
 
Goal II: To develop an ethical and professional standard that is consistent with the published Society for Human Resource Management Standards.
 
Goal III: To provide students with the knowledge, skills, & ethical foundation necessary to have a successful career in HR.
 
Objective 1: Students will have an understanding of the basic terms, concepts, and principles of Human Resources.
 
  Measure 1: Discipline test; End of quarter assessment survey
 
Objective 2: Students will have an understanding of the (a) Strategic role of the Human Resource function; and (b) how the HR function supports and interacts with other areas in the organization.

Objective 3: Students will have an understanding of the environmental factors that influence HR. The environmental factors are global marketplaces; population demographics; labor markets; and economic factors.

Objective 4: Students will be familiar with the tools and processes commonly used by the HR generalist to accomplish the daily tasks of an HR professional.

Objective 5: Students will understand and be familiar with HR technology and how that technology facilitates HR processes and decision-making.
