Mission Statement:
The Department offers a major in Physics. We expect our
graduates to be proficient in the methods of rigorous scientific
analysis, relevant mathematical techniques, and modern
computational and laboratory methods. They should have a broad
knowledge of physics, including mechanics, electricity and
magnetism, thermodynamics and modern physics. They should be
able to communicate clearly and effectively at the general and
technical levels.
