Mission Statement:
The mission of the Department of Nursing is to provide an
interactive learning environment committed to excellence in
teaching, scholarship, service, and practice. The faculty
provides nursing education to undergraduate and graduate
students seeking entry into professional nursing or advanced
practice.
Graduates will have acquired knowledge, skills, competencies and
values essential to the practice of professional nursing.
Professional nurses make autonomous and collaborative judgments
in a variety of health care situations and are accountable for
their practice. In recognition of the health needs of a
multicultural society, professional nurses address health care
issues and needs of their community of interest.
