Mission Statement: The mission of the Computer Science
program at California State University Bakersfield is to offer
the computer science courses that are fundamental, covering
different areas, and are close to leading edge technology The
curriculum includes required courses, intermediate courses and
advanced courses. The required courses are to develop the basic
skills for the program, the intermediate courses are to cover
wide range of areas in computer science and advanced courses
provide students with current trend and leading edge technology.
Students who successfully complete the program should be ready
for a variety of high-tech jobs and are prepared for graduate
schools.
