Departmental Learning Goals and Objectives:
| GOAL I: |
Demonstrate biological literacy
of the central themes of scale, energy, growth,
regulation, reproduction, inheritance, and evolution
throughout the curriculum.

| Objective A: |
Demonstrate Freshman-level biological
literacy of the principles of organization, form, and
function at the levels of the: a) atom, molecule,
organelle, cell, tissue, b) organ, organ system,
organism, and c) population, community, and ecosystem.

| Objective B: |
Demonstrate Junior-level biological
literacy in Biological Research Design and two of the
remaining three areas: a) Genetics, b) Physiology, and
c) Ecology.

literacy in selected areas of interest in elective
