In communities like Bakersfield, we know that every dollar invested in the local arts scene generates five to ten dollars in the local economy. Not a bad return.
We welcome the Bakersfield community's investment in the cultural economy of the region, either by directly supporting the artists, musicians and theatrical ventures in the area, or by giving directly to CSU Bakersfield's capital campaign initiatives, which include support for the Kegley Institute of Ethics, the Children's Art Institute, the Todd Madigan Art Gallery, and the Doré Theatre.
