Helping migrant students transition to university life

The CAMP Summer Residential Program is designed to help incoming freshmen migrant students transition into university life. As part of the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), the Summer Residential Program consists of an intensive four-week academic program aimed at developing the skills necessary to succeed in college.

In addition to a full academic course load, CAMP students are required to live on campus. The Residential Housing units offer students the opportunity to develop social skills by living in a tightly-integrated collegiate community. Living with other students and sharing ideas and personal philosophies provides the students with an unprecedented learning experience that enriches both their minds and social well-being.

Each student will be given the opportunity to experience:

  • Interaction with faculty and campus administrators
  • College-life in a collegiate environment
  • Interaction with other first-time freshmen
