Congratulations on your offer of admission (including provisional) to California State University, Bakersfield for the Spring 2018 semester! Here are a couple of things you're going to need to know as you navigate through the admissions process.

So, now that you are admitted to CSUB what do you do next?

Open All/Close All

Step 1: Log in to myCSUB and Accept Your Offer of Admission

  • Log into myCSUB
  • Click the "Accept/Decline" link in the Admissions Section

Please be sure to accept or decline your offer by December 1, 2017. By accepting your offer of admission early, you gain earlier access to registering for new student orientation, meeting with your academic advisor, and registering for classes.

Step 2: Submit Official Transcripts

Official transcripts are required to validate your eligibility for admission and should be sent immediately upon acceptance. 

Transcripts may be:

  • Submitted electronically from the sending institution to the email;
  • Delivered in a sealed envelope to the Admissions and Records Office; or
  • Mailed to:

IMPORTANT: GE and 60+ units must be completed by Summer 2017. Final transcripts are due January 15, 2018, with all grades posted to clear admissions for the Spring 2018 semester. Note: If, after validation and verification you do not meet eligibility, your offer of admission may be revoked and courses enrolled for the Spring 2018 term canceled. 

Step 3: Apply for Housing (optional)

Please visit the housing website for details on deadline dates, room types, and room availablity.

Step 4: Register for New Student Orientation

  • Register online or by mail by stated deadline
  • You must be admitted prior to attending
  • Mandatory New Student Orientation fee is separate from other deposits, registration fees, and tuition

Step 5: Schedule an Academic Advising Appointment

In order to become eligible for an academic advising appointment, you must:

  • Be admitted to the university;
  • Accept your offer of admission;
  • Be registered for Orientation; and
  • Submit official transcripts

Contact the Student Services Center for the department of your intended major for more information. 

Step 6: Visit Your To-Do List on myCSUB

Visit your To-Do List on your Student Center on myCSUB regularly as it may be updated throughout the admissions process.
