Non-resident/Foreign Tuition $226.00 per unit (plus fees above). Fees and tuition are subject to change without advance notice by the Trustees of the California State University.

Fees and tuition are subject to change without advance notice by the Trustees of the California State University. If you are not a resident of California, you must add $226.00 to the above totals for each unit of credit you take.

To find your total basic non-resident registration fee:

  1. Find your Basic Registration Fee Total in the table above
  2. Multiply the number of units you will take by 226: 12 units x 226
  3. Add your answers in lines 1 and 2 to get your total non-resident Basic Registration Fee.
Example: A non-resident undergraduate who wishes to register for 12 units (in Fall 2005) must pay $3,818.00 in basic registration fees:

Exemptions: You may be exempt from nonresident classification if you are a teacher, military service member, CSU staff member, or a child of California residents. If so, you must apply for an exemption every semester through the Admissions and Records Office.

I need to update my address and contact information. Who do I send it to?

You may send updated contact information via email at records@csub.edu. You may also complete a Student Profile Update form (also known as a Biodata Revision form) available at the Records office and online. Submit the completed form to the front desk at the Admissions and Records office.

I've registered for classes. What happens next?

You will not receive a billing statement in the mail. Billing notices are sent via you campus Runnermail (email) account. Login to your account at http://runner.csub.edu. It is imperative that the campus also has current address and contact information on file.

The class I want to register is closed. What should I do?

If the course you are registering for is full, try selecting another section for the same course. The Admissions and Records office does not retain waiting lists for instructors. If an instructor allows to add students to the course, you must obtain a signature on an "Add" slip. Submit the "Add" slip to the records office for processing.

The class I want to register for overlaps in time with another course. Can I still take both courses

Yes, however, registration for courses with overlaps in time is not allowed online or by telephone. Please speak to the records office staff member to complete your registration for this course. The student must be fully aware that the course times overlap and it is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements with the instructor.

When I registered for a course, it says I have a "prerequisite" error. What is this?

If the registration system says you have a prerequisite problem with a specific course, you will have to go to the appropriate department to get an approval signature on an ADD form. Take the signed form to the Records office for processing and registration of the course.
