Bachelor's Degree Candidates
APPLYING FOR GRADUATION:
Each prospective graduate must file for graduation. A student is eligible to apply for graduation after accumulating at least 150 quarter units.
APPLICATION FORMS AND FILING DEADLINES:
The filing deadline date for the Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer graduation is the end of the second week of that quarter.

PAYMENT OF GRADUATION FEE:
The application form and a $40.00 fee ($40.00 for re-application) should be taken to the Cashier's Office. Payment can also be made online via credit
card. A receipt of the transaction must accompany the application if paid online. After payment of the fee, submit the printed application form to the Evaluations Office, in the Office of Admissions and Records.
DEGREE CHECK ANALYSIS :
A response will be mailed to the student within four to six weeks after the major and minor concentration outlines from the departments have been received; however, delays do occur and no guarantee can be offered.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Residence All students must complete a minimum of 45-quarter units in residence
at CSUB, of which 36-quarter units shall be earned in upper division courses and 18 upper division units shall be in the Major.
Supplemental Transfer Credits The Evaluations office processes all undergraduate transfer credit. Transfer credit, which is not yet included
on your records, will be granted ONLY if official transcripts are on file.
Graduation with Honors
The requirements for graduation with Honors are:
- Completion of a minimum of 60 graded quarter units in residence
- A minimum of 3.30 grade point average in all units at CSUB
- The overall grade point average for a undergraduate must be within the honor categories:
- 3.30 - 3.59 Cum Laude
- 3.60 - 3.89 Magna Cum Laude
- 3.90 - 4.00 Summa Cum Laude
The list of "Candidates" for graduation with honors is based on all course work completed through summer quarter for December commencement or winter quarter
for June commencement. Final calculations for diplomas and transcripts are based on all work completed through the last quarter attended.
Address Changes The Evaluations office must be notified of any changes to your mailing address after the Application for Graduation has been
submitted. Failure to provide a correct or changed address may delay the response of the application and/or diploma.
Diploma Diplomas will be mailed within four to six weeks after the date of graduation, or within two weeks from the actual clearing date of
the degree. If you arrange for someone to pick up your diploma, he/she must have written authorization, and provide identification.
Candidate for Graduation List Filing the application form for graduation places the student on the list of candidates for graduation;
it does not guarantee graduation. Any student whose name does not appear on the list, but who intends to graduate, must check with the Dean's Office of your major to verify his/her status. These lists are available in
the Dean's office.
If you do not qualify for graduation At the end of the quarter for which you applied, you must submit a new application for the quarter you
plan to complete the requirements. There is a $40.00 fee for re-applying.
Post-Graduate Study Students wishing to continue taking classes after receiving a bachelor's degree, must re-apply for admission to the university
