May 31, 2011: myCSUB Issues with IE9 & Firefox 4

Using myCSUB, we have received reports of slow response times in Mozilla Firefox 4 (FF4) and compatability issues with Internet Explorer 9 (IE9).

These recently released and newer browser versions have not yet been certified as compatible by Oracle (our software vendor). Please be aware that if you upgrade to one of these new browsers, you may experience slow response times or be unlikely to properly access myCSUB.

If you do experience problems (such as slow response times), you can use a different browser or revert back to your previous browser version.

Firefox 4 Reported Issues

- Slow performance logging in, navigating through menus and running online processes.

- Slow performance entering in grades in the Grade Roster (Faculty Center).

Internet Explorer 9 Reported Issues

- On Windows 7, blank screen when trying to go the myCSUB login page. Must turn on 'Compatability View' on IE 9 to resolve issue.

Changing Browsers or downgrading versions

- For Firefox 4 - unistall Firefox 4 and reinstall an earlier version

- For Internet Explorer 9 - Turn on Compatability View

- Download and install Google Chrome

- Download and install Safari
