CSUB Student Email - Coming Soon
CSUB is pleased to announce that in early 2015, all students will be issued CSUB email addresses (firstname.lastname@example.org). Once the service is fully active, all official CSUB email will be directed to your new student email address. This includes (but is not limited to) financial aid, registration, academic affairs, communications from your instructors and emergency information.
Why is this happening?
The goal of this project is two-fold:
First, we are providing a CSUB email address as a service to help streamline how you receive official communications. Instead of parsing through your personal email to find official emails from CSUB, now they will all be in one easy-to-access place.
Second, the service we'll be utilizing (Office 365) also includes enhanced address book and calendar functionality, giving you the power to easily collaborate with fellow students.
When will the service be active?
The service is slated to be available early in 2015. Additional information will be provided on this page as the launch date approaches. Current students, be sure to watch your personal email address for official CSUB communications until this new service is active.
How do I access the service?
Once the service is ready to go live, an Office 365 link will be added to the AccessCSUB page, which can be found by clicking the AccessCSUB link at the top of any page on CSUB.edu. Your login name and password will be the same as the login information you use to access myCSUB.
Is this service optional?
Yes and no. All students will be issued a CSUB email address and all official communications will be sent to your CSUB address. However, you will have the option to automatically forward emails sent to your CSUB email address to the email address of your choice. More details about how the forwarding service will be provided as the launch date nears.
