Honors Programs

Hawk Honors Program:  CSUB offers students a two or four-year honors program.  Students can qualify for this program as incoming first-time freshmen or transfer students.  For program information, please visit http://www.csub.edu/Honors/)

Alpha Chi Honor Society:  CSUB offers eligible students from all academic disciplines the opportunity to join the Alpha Chi Honor Society.  Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of CSUB’s juniors and seniors. Invitations are mailed to qualifying students after final grades are posted at the end of the fall and winter terms.  Membership is based upon the following criteria:

Students must have a minimum of 25 quarter units of credit at California State University Bakersfield with the following GPA

1.  Juniors must have a minimum CSU, Bakersfield GPA of 3.8.

2. Seniors must have a minimum CSU, Bakersfield GPA of 3.70.

Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities: Each year CSUB nominates a select number of students for recognition in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Department committees nominate students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
