Hello, my name is Josie Guillen and I am the coordinator of the Roadrunner Academic Achievement Program (RAAP). I want to take this opportunity to focus on the developmental Math and English courses that are available at CSUB.
RAAP is here to help students develop and grow in their Math and English skills. Success in college is dependent upon many different things. One of the biggest predictors of success is the student's ability to read, write, and understand mathematical concepts. With these foundational subjects well refined and solid, students will experience a higher level of academic achievement.
The RAAP program also tracks compliance of Executive Order 665, which mandates that first-time freshmen complete any developmental coursework within the first 3 quarters attendance at CSUB. My job allows me to help students meet Math and English compliance by providing advising and referral services. Developmental courses include Math 75 & 85 and English 80 & 100. Completion of the courses are important for your academic success here at the university.
I look forward to working and helping you to attain your goals of earning a degree from CSUB. If you have questions or concerns this program, please contact Josie Guillen at 661-654-2700.
