Mission Statement
The vision of the Academic Advising & Resource Center (AARC) is to achieve
excellence in academic advising by being the central location for retention-based
academic advising at CSUB and promoting achievement of our student's academic and
life goals. The AARC will take the lead in ensuring the success of each student
towards graduation.
The mission of the AARC is to provide a place where:
- Students develop a partnership with a core set of professional faculty and staff advisors, empowering them to set and achieve goals as well as discover their individual potential.
- Students receive the most up-to-date and accurate information for their plan of study, leading to an efficient path toward graduation.
- vising is viewed as a teaching tool and learning process not just a service provided to the student.
- Advisors honor the unique nature and interests of each student. Advising is shaped to fit the diverse needs of our student population.
