Women's and Gender Studies (WGS) minor is an interdisciplinary program that examines gender through a critical lens. As an interdisciplinary program, WGS will expose you to social, cultural, historical, psychological, literary, artistic, philosophical, and biological perspectives on women and gender.
In seeking a fuller understanding of the multidimensional nature of personhood, these courses examine the ways that gender, race, ethnicity, social class, sexuality, nationality, disability, and other facets of embodiment intersect in the construction of gender identity and experience.
We offer on Interdisciplinary BA with a Specialization in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Women's and Gender Studies.
Students interested in a WGS minor should contact Dr. Liora Gubkin. She will help you complete a Minor Declaration Form and a plan of study.
