Standard-To-WebCT File Format Converter

Category Name:

File to Convert

Instructions and Information
  1. Enter the Category name.
  2. Enter the filename of, or Browse for (recommended), the text file on you machine you wish to convert.
  3. Click the Convert button.
  4. After processing a message will display containing a link to the formated file.
    Please note that files are purged at midnight. At that time the link becomes invalid.

Your text file must end with the extension ".txt" and be formatted as follows (per each question in the file): Here is an example of a Standard Multiple Choice text input file:
1. What is the capitol city of California?
a. Los Angeles
b. San Francisco
c. Sacramento
d. San Diego
e. Barstow
@c

2. Mount Rushmore is located in North Dakota?
a. True
b. False
@b

This pattern should be repeated for the number of questions in your quiz. The file that will be returned to you, via download through the browser, will be converted to a format that can be directly uploaded to WebCT. It will have the same file name, but the ".txt" extension will be replaced by the ".wct" extension. For those of you who have a masochistic streak, the WebCT format looks like this (for the example text file above, using "Sample Quiz Questions" as the category name):
