Congratulations! You are considering a field of study and a profession that offers significant opportunity at a time when well qualified social workers are in high demand! The State of California and the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicate a significant shortage of Social Workers in the coming years. The MSW is an investment worth making toward enhancing your career development. The CSUB Social Work faculty has designed a program that is uniquely devoted to leading edge social work philosophy, small class size and outstanding field placement experiences.

We offer admission to qualified individuals each fall term. Because of the growth in our program, we encourage applicants to submit materials early. Prospective students interested in beginning the program in the fall should submit the application by February 1st. An early admission creates more access to our faculty and staff and financial support opportunities.
