Graduate Reading Literacy Program
Welcome to the Graduate Reading Literacy Program in the Department of Teacher Education! This program is designed for elementary, middle,
and high school teachers who are interested in pursuing a graduate level course of study through one of the following options:
1) Reading Certificate (one year program)
2) Master of Arts in Education-Literacy and Reading/Language Arts Specialist Credential (two year program)
The mission of the CSUB Reading/Literacy Graduate Program is to accomplish the following: (a) significantly increase teacher knowledge
base regarding reading/literacy, (b) assist educators in meeting the diverse literacy needs of students from varying backgrounds,
and (c) continue to design programs to meet the professional needs of educators in our service area.
