The above figure is designed to be used in conjunction with the Solar System Scaling Exercise. The Sun is not included, it can be represented by an object like a balloon, bowling ball, or similarly-sized rock. When pacing out the solar system, the above pictures can be left at the appropriate places.
What if you can't print-out the figures? Any objects of similar size can be used in place of the pictures. For instance, Jupiter and Saturn are about the size of a penny, pinheads can be used for the smaller planets.
