Film Lovers And Philosophy Society
Much of our time is spent watching moving images. We are surrounded by an audio-visual form which has become known as the "movies". These images mold, shape and impact us in physical, emotional and sometimes very personal ways. Very few people stop to reflect on the films they watch almost daily through media such as television. Films need to be taken seriously as philosophy and art instead of just entertainment. Our job as philosophers is to think about how we can and should think about films. The Philosophy and Religious Studies Club at California State University Bakersfield invites you to come and experience film as a philosophical subject matter.
