The eligibility requirements for the Nursing program at CSUB have changed due to the restructuring of our prelicensure BSN program.

In late December, 2008, the decesion was made to restructure the proposed ABSN program and traditional nursing programs. CSUB will now offer just one undergraduate prelicensure program; a 21-month program. Applicants to this 21-month program must meet the following criteria.

  1. Apply to CSUB no later than December, 2009
  2. Have transfer courses evaluated by the University's Admissions Department evaluators (part of the University's application process). The Department of Nursing will evaluate prerequisite class equivalencies only after an appllication is submitted to the Nursing program.
  3. Submit their nursing application to CSUB's Department of Nursing between October 20th and December 30th, 2009.
  4. Plan to complete all prerequisites, with the exception of Pathophysiology, no later than June 15th, 2010. Complete an approved Pathophysiology course no later than late July, 2010. CSUB's Biology Department is planning to offer Pathophysiology during summer 2010.
  5. Have no more than three general education courses (for a BS) remaining by late July, 2010
  6. Provide TEAS results to the Department of Nursing no later than May 29th, 2010
