Data Processing

Fill out a job request as soon as you know that you will need labels or reports. Forms can be picked up in the ACS office in ACS 101 or you can use the fill and print form online, simply click on the button below. The Administrative Computing Services Department gets many requests for data processing; requests are processed in the order in which they are received. A minimum of one week is required to process a job request, additional time will be required if the request is quite involved or is a new project.

  1. Fill in the following blanks: submitted by, department, charge-back account number, your extension, and the current date. The authorized by field should be signed by your supervisor.
  2. Check all appropriate fields in JOB REQUEST TYPE section.
  3. The ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA section is for more clarification regarding your request, i.e. list all applicants who have applied for the coming Fall quarter, who have declared English as their major, and who are at least 21 years of age, - or- labels for current seniors who have at least a 3.5 cum GPA.
  4. The REPORT SPECIFICATIONS section should contain all the data you wish on your report, i.e. student name, street, city, state, zip code, gender major, class level. Check all appropriate options for your output, i.e. (x) special forms: postcards (x) stripped on both ends.
  5. Complete WHO TO CALL WHEN JOB REQUEST IS COMPLETE section
  6. Submit all copies of the job request form. You will receive a copy when the request has been completed. Note: Once the job request has been received by the Administrative Computing Services Department, any later changes to the request will delay processing.
  7. Save returned copy of the job request form for your files. You may need to refer to it if there is a question regarding the billing of a label job. You may also want to refer to the copy if you are a new employee and are now responsible for requesting jobs that have been previously processed.
  8. The CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION AUTHORIZATION section must be completed by the Associate Director of Admissions, Kendyl Magnuson. If the request is regarding CSUB alumni, the request must be signed by Laura Wolfe, Director of Development, Alumni Department. If the request is for CSUB employee information, the request must be signed by the Director of Personnel, Kellie Garcia.
  9. Do not fill out the FOR COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES ONLY section.
