Update on PeopleSoftImplementation

CSUB will begin implementation of three PeopleSoft Human Resources' modules in December 2002: Administer Workforce; Base Benefits; and Staff Recruitment. These modules have a "go live" target date of July 2003.

A Steering Committee has been active since Fall 2001 preparing the Charter, communication plans and implementation time lines. Since April 2002 we have had a part-time Project Director who has guided the project along. A PeopleSoft Implementation Committee is working on the details of the implementation. Some technical and functional staff have been assigned to the project.

Io Consulting conducted a readiness assessment in August-September and it has been sent to the Chancellor's Office for their review and approval. When the readiness assessment is accepted by the Chancellor's Office, CSUB can obtain the PeopleSoft software and begin the implementation of the HR module. This fall we hired Io as our consulting firm and implementation partner for HR. We are in the process of hiring a permanent Project Director.
