How To Summarize Selected Messages
To summarize several emails at a time, open the containing folder and highlight (DO NOT OPEN THEM) the emails to be
summarized. From the Message menu select "Summarize Selected Messages". Each of the highlighted messages will be
copied into a single file. This file can then be saved to your hard drive by selecting "Save As" from the File menu.
Note: If you want to use MS Word to open the saved email, add .doc to the end of the file name (or the .doc extension
can be added once the file is downloaded).
Note: Attachments are not saved when using the Summarize method. Attachments can be downloaded to the same folder as
the summarized file if needed.
Tip: To select contiguous messages, hold down the Shift key. To hightlight emails in random order, hold down the
Ctrl key while selecting individual emails.
Once you have downloaded the email to your computer (and any needed attachments), it can be deleted from FirstClass.
