You're choosing to broaden your perspective, learn about and interact with people who are different than you and hopefully challenge your biases and prejudices. In the process of doing all of this you will learn more about yourself and others. Hopefully, during this journey you will also become more independent, confident, and aware. There is really no better place than the residence halls to meet new people, practice skills, and adapt to campus life.
