The History Department is delighted that three of our former students will be teaching for us in the spring 2009 term. Josh Dixon received his M.A. in History in June 2008, concentrating on modern and medieval European history. He will be teaching History 102: The Making of the Modern Western World. Kathleen Freeland (M.A. June 2003) returns to teaching after a short hiatus caring for her two small children. She will teach a section of History 231: US History to 1865. Oliver Rosales (M.A. June 2005), who is completing work on a doctorate in history at the University of California, Santa Barbara, will teach History 468: Mexican American History. He is writing a dissertation entitled “Race, Segregation, and Civil Rights in California’s Central Valley: the Origins of a Rural Social and Political Crisis, 1920-1980.” Welcome back all!
