"Monotheism: a culture founded by Zoraster in 600 B.C.E. Only believed there were 2 gods, one that was good and one that was bad."

"... was discovered by Pythagoras. Hints the name...."

"Montezuma offered to go outside of the temple and speak to his captain and ask them to stop fighting, which is when a stone him him in the head and died three days later."

Student Neologisms

Students seem uniquely able to introduce new words into the English vocabulary. Thanks to all those written assignments, here are few of the newest words created--inadvertently--by some of our students (with a possible meaning!):

terriable
(able to terrify or behave terribly)
epicdemic
(the spread of a disease with epic proportions)
complishment
(aka "chievement")
repeatively
(happening over and over again, like a bad mistake)
finickely
(behaving with such particularity as to put people off)
agreeance
(the opposite of grievance)
eventionally
(taking one's time to do something conventional)
