1. Duration of EOP Student Status An EOP student is eligible to participate in the program up to a maximum of five years (10 semesters/15 quarters) or until receipt of a bachelor's degree, whichever occurs first. In special circumstances (e.g., illness, military service, family hardship, or where additional uinits are required for a specific major), a student's status may be extended beyond five years. |

2. Definition of First through Fifth Year Determination of EOP student year shall be based upon the maximum terms for which the student has been enrolled in the CSU in the accordance with the table below:

3. Participation in Support Services A new EOP enrollee shall participate in a full range of services provided by the program. A continuing student may participate in EOP services on the basis of need or as required by the EOP Director |

5. Student Absences from the CSU A returning EOP student who has been absent from a CSU campus for one or more terms may be reinstated to EOP status upon authorization of the EOP director. |

6. Inter-Campus Student Transfers An EOP student may transfer his/her EOP status from one CSU campus to another if the student is accepted into the EOP program of the recieving campus. Reporting of his/her EOP student year will continue in accordance with that reported at the organization campus (i.e., the second year he/she shall be considered a third-year student at the new campus). |

7. Termination from the Program An EOP student may be terminated from the program if, in the judgement of the EOP Director, the student : 1. does not participate in recommended program of support services; or 2. fails to make satisfactory academic progress. The student shall be sent written notification 30 days prior to such action, with copies to the Admissions and Financial Aid Offices, and be given those 30 days to appeal. At the end of this period, a written record of final action shall be sent to the student, Admissions, and Financial Aid Offices. |
