Posted February 22, 2013: The department is looking for tutors and student assistants for spring quarter. Available positions include: ALEKS lab tutoring, CHEM 281 tutoring, CHEM 100 lab and grading support, CHEM 150 lab and grading support, CHEM 212/213 lab and grading support, CHEM 332/333 lab and grading support. To apply for any of these positions, submit the application form (available on the department website) and a copy of your resume to Shaun Tobiasen in the Chemistry Department Office (Science II 273).

Stanford Summer Health Careers Opportunity Program (SSHCOP)
Stanford Summer HCOP is six-week academically intensive residential program that provides a living and learning community for talented college sophomores and juniors who plan to pursue a career in medicine. Selectees will be awarded a scholarship that covers all program expenses including housing, meals, participation fees and materials.
CHEM 290 (Careers in Chemistry & Biochemistry)
To aid students in career education and planning, the Chemistry Department has developed CHEM 290 (Careers in Chemistry & Biochemistry). This course introduces students to career opportunities available in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry. CHEM 290 students will learn about career options, graduate school, and professional development through activities, discussion, and guest speakers. CHEM 290 is offered on a credit, no-credit basis and may be repeated twice for credit. CHEM 213 (or equivalent) is a prerequisite for taking this course. View the CHEM 290 flyer for more information.
