Our chapter of the S.A.A.C.S.was founded in 1997 to promote exchange between students studying chemistry and the chemical sciences at California State University, Bakersfield. Another goal of this chapter is to provide outreach to the community through volunteer projects in schools and involving our members in seminars and other learning projects.

Any student studying chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry or another chemical science at CSUB is eligible to join. There are no membership dues, however some activities may require payment.
