1980s
Chris Brewer ('83, MPA) has 27 books in print as publisher of Bear State Books, eight of which he wrote. He also works for the state Department of Transportation as an architectural historian. He and his wife live in Tulare County where they own orange orchards and also own and operate Exeter Flower Co., a flower and gift store; and Book Garden, an adjacent book store. "Without my degrees from CSUB, I would not be in the various positions I have attained," Chris said. In October 2005, he was given the Award of Distinction from the California Council for the Promotion of History, its highest award. He continues to work with CSUB professors and the Regional Center on projects involving historical resources.
1990s
Alexandra (Hager) Cziesla ('94, MBA) lives in Germany and has held several jobs since graduating, first with a company producing cash-handling products for banks, then with utility companies in Germany. "Since 2000, I have been working for the gas supplier E.ON Ruhrgas and am currently project manager for several gas pipeline joint ventures," she said. "Greetings from Germany to everybody from my class year!"
Mark Purzycki ('95, BA sociology) is employed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the Bay Area.

Stacy L. Roberts ('97, BA criminal justice) is an associate attorney at Dreyer, Babich, Buccola and Callaham, LLP of Sacramento. After working for State Farm in Bakersfield and San Diego, Stacey went to the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, graduating and passing the state bar examination in 2005.
Rhonda Knight-Stallone ('98, MBA) is the media relations and marketing coordinator for Mountain & River Adventures, an outdoor adventure company in Kernville. She previously served as the marketing and promotions associate for the Kern County Waste Management Department.
Kurt L. Whitman ('98, BA political science) is working on a teaching credential and master of education degree at National University. He will graduate this year with an emphasis in cross-cultural teaching, and plans to teach elementary school.
2000s
Ginette (Ayotte) Brock ('00, BA public administration) works for Sunview Marketing in produce sales, selling California table grapes. She is married to John Brock Jr., and has one daughter, Brooke Mason, 26.
Francisco "Steve" Perez ('02, BA communications) is the marketing and communication specialist in the Office of Public Affairs at Arizona State University's West Campus. He is also an adjunct professor of communications at a community college in Phoenix.
Edward R. Arambula ('03, business administration) has taken a new position as shipping office supervisor for Bolthouse Farms in Bakersfield. Bolthouse is one of the largest carrot producers in the world.
Chris Burgy ('04, BS business administration) has been named vice president of the Archer Group, a provider of marketing, technology and telecommunications services to the Central Valley and Santa Barbara. "We are a Bakersfield based organization with more than 16 employees (many of which are CSUB graduates) and just celebrating our one-year anniversary," Chris said. "I joined the organization in a technical position before receiving a promotion to vice president after four months with the company."
