Math and
Science Teacher Initiative:
This program is designed to double the number of prospective high
school math and science teachers who graduate from CSUB. Participants
can receive up to $8,000 in scholarship awards plus additional
funding through the state of California.
Student
Preparation for Academic Research Careers (SPARC)
SPARC is a program designed to prepare freshman and sophomore
underrepresented minority students for advanced studies in natural
sciences and mathematics. Participants can receive up to $2,500
in scholarship awards per year plus additional funds through the
incentive program.
Minority
Access to Research Careers- Undergraduate Student Training in
Academic Research (MARC U*STAR)
MARC U*STAR prepares junior and senior underrepresented minority
students for a future in biomedical research. Students interested
in pursuing an advanced degree after receiving their undergraduate
degree are encouraged to apply. Participants can receive just
over $13,000 per academic year in addition to a research supply
and travel budget.
