John Reed Memorial ($200 - $800)

        Merit Scholarship open to Sophomores or Juniors

        Area of Major:  Environmental, Conservation, Wildlife

        Minimum 3.0 GPA overall

Friends of Biology ($200 - $700)

        Demonstration of financial need:  Open to all Biology Majors

- Pearle Zalud Scholarship ($4,000.00)

        Demonstration of financial need, good academic standing, enrolled full-time (12 units minimum each quarter)

       Area of Major:  Agriculture

        Apply at the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships

 

Fairie A. Decker Memorial ($1,000.00)

        Merit Scholarship open to any class standing (Renewable)

        Area of Major:  Any Animal/Wildlife Care career

        Minimum 2.5 GPA in biology courses

Other scholarships

Math and Science Teacher Initiative:
This program is designed to double the number of prospective high school math and science teachers who graduate from CSUB. Participants can receive up to $8,000 in scholarship awards plus additional funding through the state of California.

Student Preparation for Academic Research Careers (SPARC)
SPARC is a program designed to prepare freshman and sophomore underrepresented minority students for advanced studies in natural sciences and mathematics. Participants can receive up to $2,500 in scholarship awards per year plus additional funds through the incentive program.

Minority Access to Research Careers- Undergraduate Student Training in Academic Research (MARC U*STAR)
MARC U*STAR prepares junior and senior underrepresented minority students for a future in biomedical research. Students interested in pursuing an advanced degree after receiving their undergraduate degree are encouraged to apply. Participants can receive just over $13,000 per academic year in addition to a research supply and travel budget.
