GRADUATION CHECK:
The application for Graduation (Grad Check) should be filed at
least two quarters before your expected date of graduation. This
will leave you time to take care of any problems that might arise.
Applications are available
online or may be picked up at the Admissions and Records office.
When the department receives notice (we get a copy), your Advisor
will complete the concentration outline for a major in Biology.
After the concentration outline is signed by the Chair, it will
be sent to Records. Records then completes the processing and
will send a copy to you. You will either be cleared for graduation
upon completion of the courses you have indicated or the deficiencies
will be noted. If you nave any further questions see your Advisor.
ADVISING: Advising for the Fall quarter is approximately the first week of May; Winter quarter at the end of October/first of November; and Spring quarter the first week of February. It is highly recommended that you establish an advisor in Biology early in your academic career. Sign-up on the office door of one of the Biology Faculty. Come prepared with a tentative schedule. If you are unsure about which faculty member to sign-up with, Terry Hansen, the Biology Secretary in Rm 227, has a listing of areas of interest for each faculty member. This information can also be found on the Biology WEB Page. Office hours are posted there as well.
