Subject:   672 Monthly Attendance Reporting

--------------------------------------------

NOTICE......in an effort to streamline negative attendance reporting for faculty and staff, effective with the April pay period, departments will no longer be required to transfer information from the Absence Request (STD 634) form to the monthly Time and Attendance Report (Form 672). After a review of audit requirements, it was determined that this is an unnecessary additional step that departmental attendance clerks no longer need to do.

Both the 672's and 634's are still due to HR on dates posted on the Payroll Due Dates Calendar. HR will continue to use the 634 form to post absences taken. The 672 form is still required for departments and Payroll to verify the attendance status of employees before pay warrants are released on payday. We hope this change will cutdown on the time it takes for departments to certify attendance each pay period. Please call the Payroll Office if you have any questions.
