Subject:   Facilities Areas Organizational Changes

Organizational changes have been made in the Facilities Management Department changing the reporting structure. I am pleased to announce that Pat Jacobs has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management.

Carl Waite will begin employment with CSUB as the Director of Facilities Support Services on January 17th thereby filing the position vacated by Bob Brown in September, 2004. He will assume responsibility for the Roads & Grounds, Custodial and FOSS (Mail service, shipping/receiving, property) divisions.

Joe DeCarlo’s title has changed to Director of Facilities Operations and he will be responsible for the Maintenance and Energy Management/HAVC divisions.

Collectively, these changes represent a significant step forward in our efforts to enhance our flexibility to continue to provide quality services to the campus community.
