Update on Capital Projects

                                                    Nursing Lab

The School of Nursing is expanding and is in need of more room. A triple wide portable has been placed behind the University Police Building for this purpose.  Due to tight time and budget constraints, the Facilities Operations team took on the project of remodeling this building. Unnecessary walls have been removed and new walls added, as well as, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical modifications are being made to meet current codes.  The exterior is being painted and the project is expected to be complete and ready for the Winter quarter classes of 2007.

Science III building
The contractor is just about complete with the concrete pour for the first floor slab of this building.  We expect the steel columns and beams to be delivered in December and January.  Steady progress is being made for the projected completion of early 2008.

                                           Student Rec Center
                 

This project is currently nearing completion of the design phase. The location of the facility has been finalized and will be located south of the Student Union (currently where the outdoor basketball courts are located). The students will be formally dedicating the site soon. This project is schedule to be completed by fall 2008.

                                                 Student Housing
We are currently conducting a Feasibility Study for this project. The general location has been selected in the Northeast section of the campus. The goal is to have this project completed in fall 2008.
