About ASI
When you become a student at CSU, Bakersfield, you also become a member of a unique student government organization…the Associated Students, Incorporated (commonly referred to as ASI).
The Associated Students, Inc. is comprised of a Board of Directors, with directors from each school, class level, and the dorms, in addition to the student body president, and four vice presidents. Decisions made by the Board members affect all students. ASI serves as the primary voice regarding student interests and issues. Involvement in numerous ASI and campus committees further encourage student involvement in academic and non-academic activities on campus. ASI also plays a crucial role in funding CSUB clubs and organizations.
ASI is…
More than just a student government. A well-rounded education includes activities and interaction that occurs outside of the classroom. Various cultural and social activities are sponsored by ASI, which include the annual homecoming, luau, speakers, concerts, barbecues, rallies and more.
